Easter Stamp Camp Part II

As promised, here are my other 2 projects for my Easter Stamp Camp tomorrow.  First is this cute little M&M treat holder.  This idea came from a demonstrator class a few weeks ago.  This was designed by my up-line Cindy Lawrence.  Click on the link to see her original design.  I did mine a little differently.  I didn't have the clear boxes she used so I came up with my own.

Pretty Little Purse

Happy Saturday everyone! I can't believe my vacation is almost over.  Back to work on Monday :(.  I'm going to my rescheduled holiday demonstrator group get together today.  We have a gift swap every year and I wanted to show you what my gift is that I'm bringing:

I've had this wooden purse sitting around for a couple of years and decided to decorate it using S.U. Haiku DSP.  For stamp sets I used Stitched Exotics and Flight of the Butterfly.  Needless to say I thought it came out pretty cute.  Some lucky person will be going home with it day at the holiday get together. 

Flower Fusion Bag

I saw this bag on the front cover of the current "On Stage" Stampin Up Demo Magazine.  The bag was made by Abbie Stinson of Rockport, Maine.  I just had to try it. I stamped the vines using the Baroque Motifs Stamp Set using Mellow Moss Craft Ink on a canvas bag that I picked up at Michaels.  I then hand sewed the flowers and buttons on the bag.  It was a cinch to do.  Since there are so many different flower shapes in the Flower Fusion accessories, the combinations you could come up with were numerous.  The ribbon I added was a challenge since I wanted to sew it on but couldn't quite get the reach I needed on my sewing machine so I decided to adhere it with some Heat n Bond which is an iron on adhesive and once it is ironed on it doesn't come off.  I think I may use this bag to hold my swaps when I go to Convention the end of July!

Birthday Gifts

Tomorrow is one of my dear friend's birthday - a biggie - turning 50.  I'm taking her to lunch today.  I wanted to share with you some of the gifts I made for her.  I found a silver bucket at the Target Dollar Spot and decided to decorate it with rub-ons.  I thought it came out pretty nice.  I added a few bows to the handle and then filled it with goodies,  an Emergency Card Kit which I learned to make at Spring Fling (a demonstrator event).  I found a pack of sticky notes with her initial and added a ring with bits of ribbon.  I also made a knitted beaded scarf.  Most of you that know me know that I am an avid knitter.  I'm obcessed with it like rubber stamping.  I hope she likes the gifts, I know I would.

Here is the card she will be getting.  This is the first time I've tried one of these free standing pop up cards. 

I sure hope she doesn't look at my blog this morning!

Cheerful Sunflower

I wanted to share this adorable sunflower.  This pattern was shared by my good friend Brenda.  I used designer paper for the flowers and petals and attached the petals with hot glue to a floral tape wrapped chopstick.  The leaves I added an eyelet to each end and tied them with some twine. The bucket I picked up at the Target Dollar Spot.  I stamped it with the Little Pieces stamp set with white Stazon ink and punched holes around it with my crop-a-dile and threaded it with ribbon.  I added bits and pieces of left over ribbon to the handles also.  The center of the flower I used my 1-3/8 punch and a piece of chocolate chip paper then added a clear button and linen thread.  The bucket has a piece of floral foam inside then I added red shredded paper on top.  I've posted the pattern so you can give it try - you won't be disappointed!
